WHERE, a location-based application being widely used on new Motorola Droid handsets all over the United States, has released a website that offers a map detailing where the most-hyped handset of 2009 has landed.
The top three landing spots so far are New York City, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. with 12 per cent, 6 per cent and 5 per cent of all Droids receptively. Runners-up include San Francisco, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Bostom, Chicago and Phoenix.With only about 25 per cent of Droid owners using WHERE, the data included in the map has been determined by extrapolation.
The WHERE app for the Droid was designed with its high-resolution screen in mind, offering a great interface, ton of native features and its on WHERE Brand Bar, a customizable store locator and brand recommendation tool.
