Upgrade Xperia X10 to Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Tired of waiting for your local carrier to finally get around to releasing Google Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” for your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10? Why not join thousands of others in allowing DavinciTeam to help you unleash your Xperia X10?

Our software will allow you to quickly and easily flash your Xperia X10 with generic Android 2.3, removing your provider’s messy additions and logos and upgrading your phone at the same time. It’s time to take full advantage of the power that the X10 offers!

Use this simple set of instructions to quickly and easily upgrade your X10 to Android 2.3:

  • Open an account. Flashing costs 10 credits (10 EUR, about $15 USD); you can purchase with us quickly and easily by visiting our secure shopping area. Your account is created the moment payment is sent and you’ll receive your account details via email instantly.
  • Download our client software. Our client is the interface you use to perform any action on your phone. You can download the client here; log in with your new account details when you run it. Note that some users of Windows Vista and Windows 7 may need to run the client software with admin rights; you can do this by right-clicking client.exe locally and selecting “Run as administrator”.
  • Install the USB flash drivers. This package of drivers is vital, allowing your computer (and our software) to recognize your phone and work with it. The flash drivers can be downloaded via the “Drivers” menu in the DavinciTeam software.
  • Connect your phone. With your X10 fully charged and powered off and with your memory card removed, hold down the right-hand button on the face of the phone and connect the USB cable. Allow our software a moment to recognize your phone and present the service menu.
  • Select your service. From the service menu that pops up select “Flash/Debrand/Rebrand”.
  • Choose your firmware. Highlight a firmware version in the list provided; the version you’ll want will depend on your region – please see below for further details.
  • Choosing your firmware. Whether you have an X10a in the United States or Canada or an X10i in Europe or India, the version you need is the same – note that the “i” designation will not affect the ability of X10a users to use their carrier’s 3G network, etc. Select this version:

    3.0.1.G.0.75 CUSTOMIZED ARO

  • Press GO. Click the “GO” button to get the flash started and allow the client to do its thing. That’s it, enjoy your freshly “Gingerbreaded” X10!
