Microsoft announced new updates to the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, the company’s online storefront offering apps for the Windows Mobile operating system with the much-anticipated news of PC access included.
Besides offering better anti-piracy protection and improved tools for application developers, the Microsoft Marketplace can now be visited directly from a PC as well as from a Windows Mobile smartphone. Applications can be purchased from a PC and Microsoft does the rest, sending the application package to your phone over the air and installing it automatically on the first run of the application.
Some of the updates that developers will enjoy include improved tools for updating application portals, easier image uploading and more usable account status updates. Microsoft promises more updates to come this month.
