LG Optimus 3D Coming to Vodafone UK

The world’s first 3D mobile phone is reportedly headed to the United Kingdom via Vodafone sooner rather than later, according to the mobile technology rumor mill.

LG has worked hard to keep the phone’s specifications under wraps until its official announcement at the Mobile World Congress later this month. What is known is that the Optimus 3D will offer a glasses-free 3D LCD display and will be capable, according to LG, of recording 3D video. Those video features are offset by both HDMI and DLNA connectivity to allow for easy media sharing.

Vodafone UK Begins HTC Desire Pre-orders

Wireless provider Vodafone UK has announced that pre-ordering is available for the highly anticipated HTC Desire smartphone, launching officially on April 8, 2010. Vodafone will offer the handset for free with a two-year contract agreement at a minimum £30 per month plan.

The HTC Desire, powered by the Google Android 2.1 operating system, sports the speedy Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1GHz, making it Flash 10.1 ready. Hardware features include a 3.7″ WVGA touchscreen display with multi-touch capability along with an optical joystick and the HTC Sense user interface.

Vodafone UK Adds iPhone 3G & 3GS

Vodafone UK, a leading wireless provider in the United Kingdom, has announced that it will soon be offering the Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS to its users.

The pricing structure of Vodafone’s first foray into iPhone territory will see the iPhone 3G available for free with an approved contract at a minimum of 36 GBP per month with the 3GS model free with an approved contract at a minimum of 45 GBP per month.

Pre-orders are being taken now and the official iPhone release for Vodafone UK is January 14; the handsets will be available online and via Apple and Vodafone retail outlets.
