Our contest this week sees five free Sony Ericsson Satio handsets being delivered to customers who purchased during the contest period. The draw was done randomly – congratulations to the winners! You won’t receive your Satio in time for Christmas but it won’t be long after that!

Some Aino, Satio Owners Face Difficulties

Sony Ericsson AinoSony Ericsson is acknowledging issues affecting its Aino and Satio handsets with a report from Reuters containing a quote from the company which notes that only a “small number of consumers” have been affected.

The first problem to come to light was with the Satio as a glitch found in Vodafone and Orange firmware apparently caused some of the handsets to power off unexpectedly. Carphone Warehouse and some other retailers stopped selling the phone until a fix was released. The Aino’s troubles lie in the software controlling the touchscreen with an apparent glitch rendering some features unusable.

A spokesman for Sony Ericsson indicated that the issues would be easily overcome, reassuring holiday shoppers that the company’s two key products for the final quarter of 2009 were of the utmost quality.
