While the step-by-step flashing tutorial on our main site covers the basic instructions to flash/debrand your phone, we’re often asked for more particular details. From basic questions to advanced ones, we’re here to offer answers!
What is the benefit of debranding? Debranding means to flash generic firmware straight from a manufacturer like Nokia as opposed to from a provider like Vodafone. Providers add their branding, links, logos and restrictions to the firmware of phone’s they release, so effects range from eyesores like ugly boot logos to real loss of use through feature restrictions that suit the provider. With DavinciTeam’s service you can quickly and easily flash generic firmware to the phone, eliminating all of the irritations of provider firmware.
Does debranding unlock my phone? No, changing the phone’s firmware will not SIM unlock your phone. DavinciTeam does not currently offer unlocking services for Nokia phones (unlocking by code is available for users on the AT&T network in the United States).
