Samsung Wave II Coming to U.K.

A tweet spotted on Samsung’s dedicated United Kingdom Twitter account has indicated that mobile enthusiasts in that part of the world will soon have access to the Samsung Wave II, the company’s latest multimedia phone.

Announced earlier this month, the Samsung Wave 2 sports version 1.2 of the Bada mobile operating system and offers a slew of high-end multimedia features including the ability to take hi-definition 720p video via the phone’s five megapixel camera, all display on a 3.7″ 800×480 Super AMOLED screen.

SamsungSamsung has announced that they are developing a new mobile operating system for their entire lineup, from feature phones to smartphones. Dubbed Bada, Samsung promises a simple and intuitive user experience through a smooth graphical interface with original design. An app store is planned for future release, allowing third-party developers to write new apps for the Bada OS.

Bada is planned for release next month with the launch of the first Bada-powered handset coming in Q1 2010.
