Several news sources are reporting that Microsoft has published a full guide for developers with instructions on how to port current iPhone applications to Windows Mobile 6.5 as the latter prepares the launch of its online application store. The guide, compiled by consulting firm Crimson Consulting, offers detailed instructions and demonstrations in order to make mobile developers comfortable with the transition of their skills to the WinMo platform.

Windows Marketplace for Mobile is scheduled to launch this coming fall; developers have already been given a development kit and can submit applications any time.
