Nokia Introduces Oro Luxury Phone

Nokia has announced a new smartphone to join its lineup and the Oro is one device that brings a little something more to the table for those inclined towards luxury.

Based on the popular C7, the Oro’s form is plated in 18 karat gold and then hand-wrapped in leather. The crown jewel of this fancy phone is the sapphire crystal that serves as the home key. Despite its expensive wrapping, the Oro sports no upgrades over the C7′s hardware, including the surprising lack of autofocus with the eight megapixel camera.

The Nokia Oro luxury smartphone will be made available in Europe, China and the Middle East in Q3 2011 at a hefty introductory price of 800 EUR ($1125 USD).
